About
I am a professor of communication with teaching and research interests in film, media studies, popular culture, cultural studies, feminist and women's studies, and rhetoric. I obtained a Ph.D. in Communication with an emphasis in Film and Rhetoric from the University of Southern California in 1990. My dissertation won a 1991 Outstanding Dissertation Award from the National Communication Association.
